The university
A closer look
China University of Petroleum (East China) is based in Qingdao and offers study beyond oil and gas, including new energy, materials, software engineering, architecture and management. Selected undergraduate programmes are available in English, with a wider Chinese-taught catalogue. Master’s, doctoral and foundation routes are also listed by the international admissions office. This is the East China institution; applications should use its own Qingdao admissions route rather than that of China University of Petroleum in Beijing.
